I am a proud educator who is also a lifelong learner. I am pursuing my Doctoral degree in Community College Leadership at NC State University. My work title is History Professor and Student Adviser at Forsyth Technical Community College. I have presented at different national Conferences and Universities include NISOD, League of Innovations, and Wake Forest University. In my capacity as the Chair for the Humanities Enrichment Series, I have organized and coordinated several events on a broad theme of topics that include Mental Health in the Age of the Pandemic, Immigration, and International Education. The Pandemic has taught us many invaluable lessons about resilience, compassion, student-focused learning both in traditional, blended, and asynchronous formats. As an educator, course developer, and adviser, I believe in constant innovation.
