ASU Sync: Synchronous, Distance Education

ASU Sync is a new modality for teaching, learning, and service delivery. It is characterized by synchronous but remote interactions. This presentation will consider the opportunities and advantages of Sync in post-pandemic higher education. Particular attention will be placed on using Sync to engage new groups of learners and to improve learning outcomes.

Anne Jones is the incoming vice provost for undergraduate education at Arizona State University and a professor in ASU’s School of Molecular Sciences. She has interests in using technology to scale education while improving outcomes.
